Alexandra Bachzetsis combines dance, performance and visual art. Her latest work Alexandra Bachzetsis. 2020: Obscene will be on view at Kunsthaus Zürich from March 25 to May 1, 2022. In it, she explores dependencies between the accepted, performed »scene« and the »obscene« from the point of view of the desiring. The exhibition presents the performance, performed by Bachzetsis and three collaborators, as a video production; it will be performed live on April 1 and 2.

Bachzetsis' work has been shown in and at major international museums, theaters and biennials. Born in 1974, the artist and choreographer is always concerned with the way people view their bodies, especially incorporating pop cultural and social media phenomena. She lives and works in Zurich, and in 2018 she was awarded the city's Art Prize.Art.Salon
