After postponement: important art fair now opens

The London Art Fair is finally taking place: The fair, which traditionally opens the art year in January, has been postponed this year to April 21-24. Visitors can now look forward to the scheduled Art Projects, Photo50 and Platform sections as usual.

Over 100 galleries from around the world will be presenting at London Art Fair, which will take place April 21-24, 2022. In addition to the best galleries from the UK, representatives from the USA, Austria, Portugal and Sweden, among others, will also travel to the fair. The fair traditionally supports regional museums, which are thus allowed to present their collection: This year, the New Hall Art Collection from the University of Cambridge will showcase its modern and contemporary artworks by women.

Critically acclaimed sections are also back at the fair this time: Platform presents art makers from ten different galleries experimenting in the borderland between visual art and music. Art Projects, in existence since 2005, showcases the latest, most promising artworks from emerging galleries, while Photo50 features photographs made especially for the section by 14 British artists exploring the phenomenon of the »island«.Art.Salon
