Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Birth by Zsolt Bodoni was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in February 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,299.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zsolt Bodoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Count Andrassy in Foundry, which sold at auction in December 2018 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,274.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Birth von Zsolt Bodoni wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.299,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Zsolt Bodoni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Count Andrassy in Foundry beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.274,62) versteigert wurde.
