Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Istanbul II, 1987–1990 by Zoe Leonard was sold in the Photographs Including Property Sold to Benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation auction at Christies in New York in April 2017. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,473.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zoe Leonard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four works: (i) Yellow, Pink, Blue Bundle; (ii) Coca Cola shack; (iii) Two Pairs; (iv) Drop Off A.M. Pick Up P.M., which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,877.66).
