Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 2003 No. 11 by Zhao Nengzhi was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,582.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhao Nengzhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 67,000.00 (€ 47,120.05).

Die Arbeit 2003 No. 11 von Zhao Nengzhi wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.582,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhao Nengzhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 67.000,00 (€ 47.120,05) versteigert wurde.
