The work Landscapes after Old Masters by Zhang Zongcang was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 500,000.00 (€ 49,577.25), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Zongcang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parasolhall In Autumn in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 49,560,000.00 (€ 5,849,854.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscapes after Old Masters von Zhang Zongcang wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 49.577,25) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Zongcang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parasolhall In Autumn im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 49.560.000,00 (€ 5.849.854,06).
