Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work She - Beautiful Writer Zhao Bo (In 2 Parts) by Yu Hong was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 500,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 80,500.00 (€ 7,363.40). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Hong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait With Alternating Red And Green in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 5,060,000.00 (€ 439,732.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit She - Beautiful Writer Zhao Bo (In 2 Parts) von Yu Hong im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 80.500,00 (€ 7.363,40) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Hong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait With Alternating Red And Green im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.060.000,00 (€ 439.732,81).
