Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Clerical Script by Xiao Xian was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,243.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xiao Xian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Letters in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 73,882.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Clerical Script von Xiao Xian kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.900,00 (€ 2.243,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xiao Xian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Letters im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 73.882,53).
