Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Bradford could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work The Fisherman'S House, Arctic Harbor changed hands for USD 106,250.00 (€ 91,045.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Bradford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Midnight Sun, The Arctic in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,314,353.28).
