Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work The Archway by William Bradford. The »bidding war« ended at USD 175,000.00 (€ 149,957.16), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by William Bradford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Midnight Sun, The Arctic in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,314,353.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Archway von William Bradford zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 149.957,16) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Bradford auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Midnight Sun, The Arctic im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.314.353,28).
