In January 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work The Bergkerk, Deventer by Willem Paerels. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,200.00 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Paerels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The harbour of Blankenberghe in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 60,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Bergkerk, Deventer von Willem Paerels zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.200,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Paerels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The harbour of Blankenberghe im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.000,00.
