Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Mountain Lake, Autumn by Wesley Webber for USD 2,640.00 (€ 2,174.81). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wesley Webber - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing boats off the coast at night, which sold at auction in February 2005 for USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,424.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mountain Lake, Autumn von Wesley Webber für USD 2.640,00 (€ 2.174,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wesley Webber mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishing boats off the coast at night beobachtet, die im Februar 2005 für USD 7.200,00 (€ 5.424,14) versteigert wurde.
