Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled, from Brunidor II by Victor Brauner was sold in the Surrealism Beyond Reality auction at Bonhams in New York in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 9,600.00 (€ 8,800.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Brauner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indicateur de l'espace in May last year with an auction result of USD 945,000.00 (€ 880,626.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled, from Brunidor II von Victor Brauner wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Surrealism Beyond Reality bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 8.800,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Brauner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indicateur de l'espace im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 945.000,00 (€ 880.626,22).
