Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Flower and Birds by Tian Shiguang. The price achieved of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 21,138.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tian Shiguang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peacock By Spring Blossoms in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 138,731.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flower and Birds von Tian Shiguang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 21.138,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tian Shiguang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peacock By Spring Blossoms im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 138.731,66).
