Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Terry Winters achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in February this year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Intervals sold for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,942.28) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Terry Winters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Graphic Primitives 1 in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 240,000.00 (€ 178,398.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Terry Winters erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Intervals für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.942,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Terry Winters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Graphic Primitives 1 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 240.000,00 (€ 178.398,87).
