This artwork by Tang Di achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Ink Pine sold for HKD 17,700.00 (€ 2,067.83) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Di achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Character in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,220,000.00 (€ 315,202.00).
