Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Guldasta II by Subodh Gupta was sold in the The World Is A Sphere: Art from the Faurschou Foundation auction at Christies in London in July 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,491.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Subodh Gupta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 12,980,000.00 (€ 1,320,312.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Guldasta II von Subodh Gupta wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion The World Is A Sphere: Art from the Faurschou Foundation bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.491,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Subodh Gupta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.980.000,00 (€ 1.320.312,25).
