Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pop and Society: Marianne Faithfull, Desmond Guinness, and Mick Jagger at Castletown Mansion, Ireland, 1968 by Slim Aarons was sold in the Phillips x Artsy Summer School auction at Phillips in an online auction in July 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,123.09). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Slim Aarons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poolside Gossip, 1970 in April last year with an auction result of USD 40,320.00 (€ 38,265.16).
