This artwork by Situ Qi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2020. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Chrysanthemum/Calligraphy sold for HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,297.21) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Situ Qi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cotton Tree Blossoms in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 178,040.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Situ Qi erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Chrysanthemum/Calligraphy für HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.297,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Situ Qi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cotton Tree Blossoms im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 178.040,60).
