Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sigmar Polke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2009. In the Contemporary Day Auction auction, the work Freundinnen Ii (Girlfriends Ii) sold for GBP 73,250.00 (€ 85,956.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sigmar Polke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dschungel (Jungle) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 27,130,000.00 (€ 24,677,096.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sigmar Polke erzielte im Juni 2009 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Freundinnen Ii (Girlfriends Ii) für GBP 73.250,00 (€ 85.956,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sigmar Polke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dschungel (Jungle) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.130.000,00 (€ 24.677.096,60).
