Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Boca Seca by Secundino Hernández. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,664.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Secundino Hernández - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 125,000.00 (€ 144,875.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boca Seca von Secundino Hernández zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.664,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Secundino Hernández mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 125.000,00 (€ 144.875,28) versteigert wurde.
