Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Robert always resisted giving any kind of explanation by Rinus van de Velde was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2018. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,254.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rinus van de Velde - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work And So I Forced Myself...., which sold at auction in November this year for EUR 72,600.00.

Die Arbeit Robert always resisted giving any kind of explanation von Rinus van de Velde wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.254,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Rinus van de Velde mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit And So I Forced Myself.... beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für EUR 72.600,00 versteigert wurde.
