Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Nikon) by Richard Pettibone for USD 8,890.00 (€ 8,052.54). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pettibone achieve. Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Nikon) von Richard Pettibone für USD 8.890,00 (€ 8.052,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pettibone erzielen.
