Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marcel Duchamp, 'Bicycle Wheel', 1913-14 by Richard Pettibone was auctioned at Christies in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 50,400.00 (€ 46,966.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pettibone achieve. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 46.966,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden.
