Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Elegant Offerings by Ren Xiong was sold in the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 152,500.00 (€ 16,465.10). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Xiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 5,765,000.00 (€ 668,633.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Elegant Offerings von Ren Xiong wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 152.500,00 (€ 16.465,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Xiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.765.000,00 (€ 668.633,27).
