In October 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Bird And Magnolia by Ren Xiong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 49,560.00 (€ 5,102.35), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Xiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 5,765,000.00 (€ 668,633.27).

Im Oktober 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird And Magnolia von Ren Xiong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 49.560,00 (€ 5.102,35) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Xiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drinking Cards with Illustrations of Daoist Immortals im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.765.000,00 (€ 668.633,27).
