This artwork by Qian Gu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Autumn Gathering sold for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,133.28) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 500,000.00 (€ 426,693.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Gu erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Autumn Gathering für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.133,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 500.000,00 (€ 426.693,98).
