Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pratuang Emjaroen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections auction, the work No.2 sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 39,503.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 160,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pratuang Emjaroen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Symphony of the Universe in November this year with an auction result of HKD 6,048,000.00 (€ 709,702.97).
