Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cabin Window Cabin by Neil Raitt was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in December 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,818.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Neil Raitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cabinectomy in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 33,137.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cabin Window Cabin von Neil Raitt kam im Dezember 2018 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.818,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neil Raitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cabinectomy im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 33.137,66).
