Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work The other side by Negyem Adonoo. The price achieved of EUR 2,560.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Negyem Adonoo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work While we wait in July last year with an auction result of EUR 50,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The other side von Negyem Adonoo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.560,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Negyem Adonoo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit While we wait im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.400,00.
