Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Still Life With Vase, Bottle And Book by Mordecai Ardon. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,935.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mordecai Ardon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Awakening in December 2014 with an auction result of USD 821,000.00 (€ 678,456.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Vase, Bottle And Book von Mordecai Ardon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.935,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mordecai Ardon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Awakening im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 821.000,00 (€ 678.456,33).
