In May 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work In Memory of Stefan by Mordecai Ardon. The »bidding war« ended at USD 439,500.00 (€ 391,153.44), 47% above the upper estimate. Other works by Mordecai Ardon have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 821,000.00 (€ 678,456.33) in December 2014 for the work The Awakening.
