Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pain, beurre et saucisson by Miquel Barceló was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,750.00 (€ 74,397.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miquel Barceló achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Faena De Muleta in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 3,961,250.00 (€ 4,382,386.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pain, beurre et saucisson von Miquel Barceló wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 62.750,00 (€ 74.397,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miquel Barceló erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Faena De Muleta im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.961.250,00 (€ 4.382.386,82).
