Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michaël Borremans could be acquired at Phillips in New York in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Time Warp changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 34,032.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michaël Borremans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Girl With Duck in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,045,000.00 (€ 2,860,444.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michaël Borremans konnte im November 2019 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wechselte die Arbeit Time Warp für USD 37.500,00 (€ 34.032,13) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michaël Borremans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Girl With Duck im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.045.000,00 (€ 2.860.444,21).
