Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Maurice Braun could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California Art auction, the work The Eucalyptus changed hands for USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,723.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Braun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eucalyptus Trees in the Mist in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 127,000.00 (€ 149,658.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Braun konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California Art wechselte die Arbeit The Eucalyptus für USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.723,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Braun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eucalyptus Trees in the Mist im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 127.000,00 (€ 149.658,26).
