The work Arroyo Seco by Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,400.00 (€ 18,478.26), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sycamores, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 72,812.50 (€ 61,705.51).

Die Arbeit Arroyo Seco von Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 18.478,26) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Marion Kavanaugh Wachtel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sycamores beobachtet, die im August 2021 für USD 72.812,50 (€ 61.705,51) versteigert wurde.
