Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kate at Mine by Mario Testino was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,468.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Testino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Exposed, Kate Moss, London in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 225,000.00 (€ 248,099.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kate at Mine von Mario Testino kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 44.468,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Testino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Exposed, Kate Moss, London im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 225.000,00 (€ 248.099,08).
