Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mané-Katz could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Israeli and International Art auction, the work Boy With Young Donkey changed hands for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,630.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mané-Katz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wedding in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mané-Katz konnte im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Israeli and International Art wechselte die Arbeit Boy With Young Donkey für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.630,09) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mané-Katz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wedding im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
