This artwork by Luis Chan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Fantasy Landscape sold for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,323.82) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luis Chan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) in October last year with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 64,585.46).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Luis Chan erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Fantasy Landscape für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.323,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Chan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 64.585,46).
