Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints (online), which included the work La jeune fille au chat by Leonor Fini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 100.00 – 200.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 102.40 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leonor Fini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autoportrait Au Scorpion in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,319,000.00 (€ 1,901,754.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints (online) durch, in der auch die Arbeit La jeune fille au chat von Leonor Fini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 100,00 – 200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 102,40 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leonor Fini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autoportrait Au Scorpion im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.319.000,00 (€ 1.901.754,96).
