The work Dessin D.32 - 1962 by Lee Bontecou was worth EUR 136,500.00 to a buyer in June 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art - Day Sale at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 45,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Bontecou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May this year with an auction result of USD 8,690,000.00 (€ 8,156,560.92).

Die Arbeit Dessin D.32 - 1962 von Lee Bontecou war einem Käufer im Juni 2021 EUR 136.500,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art - Day Sale bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 45.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Bontecou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.690.000,00 (€ 8.156.560,92).
