Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Laura Owens was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 504,000.00 (€ 413,318.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laura Owens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 1,755,000.00 (€ 1,475,037.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Laura Owens wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 413.318,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Laura Owens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 1.755.000,00 (€ 1.475.037,82) versteigert wurde.
