This artwork by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2014. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (The Storyteller) sold for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,811.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,751.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (The Storyteller) für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.811,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 56.751,00).
