The work Mickey by Joyce Pensato was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,940.00 (€ 23,190.93), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joyce Pensato achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset Batman in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 237,326.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mickey von Joyce Pensato wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.940,00 (€ 23.190,93) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joyce Pensato erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset Batman im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.250.000,00 (€ 237.326,25).
