Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Joyce Pensato achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Felix I - 2000 sold for EUR 91,840.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joyce Pensato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset Batman, which sold at auction in December 2020 for HKD 2,250,000.00 (€ 237,326.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joyce Pensato erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Felix I - 2000 für EUR 91.840,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joyce Pensato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset Batman beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für HKD 2.250.000,00 (€ 237.326,25) versteigert wurde.
