Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Three Children On The Beach by John Carroll. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,604.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Carroll have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Champions in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 25,702.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Children On The Beach von John Carroll zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.604,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Carroll auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Champions im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 25.702,28).
