In September 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Pinky by John Carroll. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,200.00 (€ 8,039.73), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Carroll - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Champions, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 31,200.00 (€ 25,702.28).

Im September 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pinky von John Carroll zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 8.039,73) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Carroll mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Champions beobachtet, die im März 2006 für USD 31.200,00 (€ 25.702,28) versteigert wurde.
