Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Loca (The Snake) by Joana Vasconcelos was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in October 2019. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,599.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joana Vasconcelos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carmen Miranda in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 264,328.85).

Die Arbeit La Loca (The Snake) von Joana Vasconcelos wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.599,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
