It achieved a price of USD 201,600.00 (€ 178,612.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Whitten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Special Checking in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 2,660,000.00 (€ 2,369,077.31).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 178.612,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Whitten erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Special Checking im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.660.000,00 (€ 2.369.077,31).
