Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Mosquito and Interior No. 55 by Guo Wei. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 23,439.02). Admittedly, works by Guo Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bathroom Series No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,327,500.00 (€ 109,288.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mosquito and Interior No. 55 von Guo Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 23.439,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bathroom Series No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.327.500,00 (€ 109.288,40).
